Emily Carmen is a composer, songwriter, lyricist, musician and performer who has studied with acclaimed film and TV composers Ira Newborn (Blues Brothers, Ace Ventura, Naked Gun, Caddyshack, Dragnet, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Wise Guys), Steve Sandberg (Dora the Explorer, Go, Diego! Go!), Sonny Kompanek (The Big Lebowski, Intolerable Cruelty, Family Business, Miller's Crossing) and composer/conductor, Grammy Award recipient and Pulitzer Prize nominee Joel Thome. Emily also credits much of her musical inspiration to her close friend and mentor, the late legendary jazz tenor saxophonist Illinois Jacquet.

Emily is an accomplished electric violinist. Her ability to harness digital music technology, coupled with her instrumental and compositional talent, provide the skills necessary to produce professional quality, original music and sound design for computer games, film, TV shows, radio and TV commercials and new media such as web sites, on line video, etc..
